One of the easiest ways for a person to get into the sky is Tandem Jump. Here is what Wikipedia says about it:
“Tandem skydiving or tandem parachuting refers to a type of skydiving where a student skydiver is connected via a harness to a tandem instructor. The instructor guides the student through the whole jump from exit through freefall, piloting the canopy, and landing. The student needs only minimal instruction before making a tandem jump. This is one of three commonly used training methods for beginning skydivers; the others being static line and Accelerated Freefall (known as Progressive Freefall in Canada).”
The jump is made using canopy, which is wing-type canopy capable of safely landing two people, and having a horisontal speed of 12m/s. People who have decided to make such a jump are named “Tandems” by the members of our dropzone. These “Tandems” have lots of attention, and the safest possible equipment. The risk of getting trauma during the jump is very low, the landing is so soft that even people having back, leg, and arm injuries are capableof handling it without any problems.
As soon as you have chosen the date you would like to jump on, and, of course, booked time on that date by calling us, the only thing remaining is to get to the airfield. First things you will need are:
- Sign the form that you want to make a jump, and doing it by your own will;
- Pay for the jump;
- Listen to 20min instruction on the jump;
- Get special clothing, glasses, and helmet from the staff.
After completing all these steps you will be put into the harness, that will be connected to your instructor later in the plane. Then it will take you about 30min and some emotions to handle untill you are on the 3000m height.
That is the exact point where you have to leave the plane. But do not worry, whole process(starting from the exit, then freefall, and later the landing) is controlled by your instyructor, who is constantly with you.
The freefall part will take 40 seconds of your life that you will not forget. After the canopy is open the instructor can allow you to take control of it for a while, or he can leave you watching the land under your feet.
It will take only few minutes to land under the canopy, but you will never forget them.
Depending on your will and financial capabilities your entire jump may be recorded starting from the moment you signed the papers till the moment when you receive the certificate. Later the footage is compiled into 5-10min movie, that can become an important part of the family or your personal archive.
Or use contacts for arranging the jump.
